Tennis is a great individual sport. It requires technique, stamina, concentration and a huge amount of control on your nerves. Unlike team sports, tennis is the classical example of sport where the single individual (unless is a double match) is totally in charge of the game. That's why with tennis it's easy to feel under pressure, tense or nervous.
One of the most important things to learn in tennis is to control your mental game. Have you ever lost a game just because you lost your mental grip? I've been there too.
